    Paph. wardii

Hi again. After a loooong waiting with nothing to show you (I broke an acmodontum just before opening and I´ve lost a couple of blooms in my helenae too) I come back with my P. wardii. The plant flowered with a prety deformed bloom two year ago. I don´t have any pic of the plant because...

    Cutting experiment just for fun

I know most of you have seen this before (there was an old nice thread about this somewhere in ST). I´m trying to get roots from a cutting of... (well, in spanish we call this type of growth "etiolado", but I don´t know if "etiolated" exists in english or not :o) an "etiolated" growth. The...

    Paph. Translie

After too many time with nothing interesting to show you...here I go this time with an (IMO) interesting plant for those who like Cochlos. This is a nice plant I purchased last May. It has one old flowered growth, the flowering one and two new leads that are growing quite fast. I didn´t...

    Haraella retrocalla (2nd flowering)

I bought this plant last December. After having read that many people lost it when mounted and many people lost it when potted, I decided to try it half mounted-half potted using a small basket-pot (used for acuatic plants). It is planted in a mix of mainly sphagnum with chopped bark and...

    Leptotes bicolor

Hi everyone. I´d like to show you this plant (maybe one of my favourite non-slipper orchids). I bought it a year ago (completely rootless) and my friend has been looking after it till now, when it´s recovered. Not my merit. I have only done the photos. I hope I could show you this plant next...

    Cephalotus cuts.

Hello everyone. First of all, I apologize if the thread isn´t in the correct place, but I didn´t know where to post it. As I can´t show you orchid flowers yet, I´ve taken some photos of the other group of plants I love: carnivorous plants. These are some cuts of Cephalotus follicularis...

    Leaf collapse? Why??

Hi everyone. I´m writing here to know you opinion about these pictures that I´ve taken from some of my friend’s plants. As you see, there is a kind of collapse on them. It appears only in a few plants (lowii, tranlienianum...) but the rest show no signs, and they stay close to the affected...

    P. emersonii culture: advice needed

Hi every STalkers. I´m very pleased to show you my small P. emersonii and, as some of you grow this species quite well, I´m looking for some help to improve my "skills" with this plant. I received it from a friend in August-2012. After a few days the biggest growth rotted and the smallest one...

    Another reddish P. venustum

Hi everyone. Here is my P. venustum. Nice but less reddish than the previous flowering :( The bud opened 5 days ago and petals haven't reflexed yet. I hope they stay this way till the flower dies because I really like the shape of this flower. This growth has developed and flowered in 8...

Some wine for the New Year

First of all: HAPPY NEW YEAR. Although I don´t like red wine at all, this guy drives me crazy. It flowers every year and grows quickly (but only one growth per year). This time the flower is even darker than the previous but the stem must have suffered some kind of problem while it was...

    Paph. Essay-Maud

Well. The plant you´re about to see is not a registered hybrid (not even a beautiful flower), but as it´s the second Paph. I purchased it deserves its own thread. Despite its appearance I care for this plant because it is very forgiving. I use it to pre-test all the changes I do in the rest...

    Spanish P. helenae #2

Hi again! I want to share with you all the second (and last) flower of my helenaes this season. This flower has an exceptional colour as well but the tiny dorsal on this one makes it worse in shape than #1 (IMO) This is the same plant I showed you last year (the right one in the...

    P. NOT villosum

I purchased this plant in June-2012 as P. villosum var. boxallii . It has been one of the fastest Paphs. I own but unfortunatelly not a P. villosum. Since I don´t like P. gratrixianum this flowering has been very disappointing to me.:mad::mad: I hope at least some of you like it.

    Tough Masdevallia floribunda
