I too feel it fits within the concept of praestans. It looks very much like the last few I've bloomed including one that was hooded.

I think it is straight praestans. No stonei influence. Some collected praestans have rather hooded dorsals and I recently saw a photo of one from Indonesia with a reddish cast on the pouch as well.

I agree. The one I bloomed was from the red leaf colony. If yours has reddish leaf bases, you can be pretty sure it is a true praestans (the color will be lost when you cross it with another paph as I was told)

My plant does not have the reddish base but my other praestans from iweyshen has the reddish base.
