Paph emersonii

I just love the fragrance on this one. First flowering, the flower took a really long time to mature, but during the latest hot days, it made fast progress on the last leg. I was affraid it would dry up due to the dry air acompaning the heat, but luckily I can enjoy it now...

That's nice! Thanks for sharing it with us. I love the staminode and it looks like it even has a little red flush on the pouch. I haven't seen that before on that species. What does it smell like? I didn't know emersonii had a fragrance.

I am sorry Hope, I am very bad at discribing any fragrances. It is certainly not overpowering, you have to get closer to smell it, my best would be like "a mix of wild flowers" or "similar to delenatii" . Maybe when more Paph's would have been fragrant I might have been better in describing them

Congrats to grow her although she isn't an albino !

The abundance of white in the flower already makes up for a lot
but all joking apart, I have also a few non-albino and they all fully deserve a place in the collection.
