This is the first to bloom of a remake I did of Paph Tropical Magic = primulinum x henryanum. I used the purpurescens form of primulinum, one that was very compact and sold as Paph liltii. As is normal for cochlopetalum hybrids, this plant will have two or three flowers per stem.

Well done! My guess is that the var. purpurascens gave the flower more color than the normal P. primulinum especially in the petals and pouch.

Yeah, pretty sweet Paphreek! I like the idea of using prim for this cross, and especially purpurescens for color bonus, because prim has a "clean" dorsal that allows henry's spots to show nicely. The other cochlos seem to muddy up the dorsal when mixed with henryanum. Good eye on this one.
