I use a stock tank as a sump for my wet pad. The sump and the connection to the fogger feed off the household plumbing, so are constantly filled.
I got a stock tank fill valve from a local hardware store to keep the stock tank filled.
Before I added the valve I used to have to manually add at least 5 gallons per day to the stock tank manually. Failure to do that, the tank would go dry and the recirc pump would burn up.
