Hi,

It seems to be the season for kovachii hybrids.
Second flowering of my avatar photo La Vingtaine ( kovachii x MDC).
Its taken nearly 2 years to mature a growth but it is much bigger
than the first.
Growth has improved since I started to use Akerne's rain mix - similar to MSU.
This flower (2nd on the spike) is just over 5 inches NS on a spike about 15 inches high and there is one more bud.
The plant originates from the EYOF.
A couple of these with slightly fuller petals have been awarded.

Regards,

David

I love this. Mine is also spiking for the first time. I hope it is as beautiful as yours.

Between this and Eumelia Arias, I'd have a hard time figuring out what my favorite kovachii hybrid (as of yet) is. MDC is definitely one of my favorite phrag hybrids, and this really captures the MDC form very well.

Congrats on blooming this. I really like this flower -- it's on my wishlist for sure, and I just bumped it up a few positions at that after seeing this photo.
