Venustum Astrid second division .

This is another division of same plant . Flower opened 5 days ago . It's interesting that this has a slightly more orange pouch and is a bit larger .

Here are the two side by side . I'm only guessing one on the left must have got more of something ( water , fert , light ...?). Kinda random I guess.

Did you split up your plant or do you keep buying more divisions? They were selling for a kings ransom from memory.

Hey David . No I bought them with the hopes of using them for good venustum breading stock . The first division got badly attacked by mealy bug so I got a back up . It recovered so I ended up with 2 . . I was surprised I ended up with all three . But now they are flowering I'm pretty happy . It's actually the leaves on this clone that get me .. Almost as good as you're wardii 'royale '. At any rate , this particular clone turns out to be really vigorous so in a year or 2 I'll prob have more divisions to share around .
