I can’t hold back my anticipation to post once flowers open since two of my Charles are in bud:

First pic:
Nominate species
(is it called the nominate or standard or wild type when not the Alba form/color/variety)? - first time to bloom

Second pic:
v. Alba with two buds (had a third but
blasted since I waited too long to bring inside from my 85-90 degrees in Florida Summer): - has bloomed twice prior 2/2020 and 9/2020

@ Michael B
Your P. charleworthii f. sandowiae (alba) is outstandingly pretty. Well done and congrats. 👌

I feel with you that this time your baby is misshaped......but in this case there's always a 'next time'.

........ but I’ll take what I get when it comes to any blooming and especially a species.
This is the best attitude to avoid disappointment. But to say it frankly this flower looks more natural to me than the one of Paphfreak Though that one represents mor the zeitgeist of breeding.
