Now should I paint it only on certain damaged spots on the leaves (try to save the leaves so the plants do not suffer too much) , or should I cut the whole leaves and use it on the cuts ?

Drop at the problem spot. Keep from getting too wet. Rot should stop and good growth continue, no need to cut.

thanks, i am looking to save quite a few plants this weekend , I am just waiting for the right stuff for the treatment .
Now I have no excuse not to save them .
