It finally bloomed. :rollhappy: It has tried to put out a spike or two for the last a year and half, but it never made it. I am happy to share the pictures. These pictures cannot really justify the color of the flower. It is literally 'bronzy purple.'

It is strange how so many orchids don't inherit scent from their parents. :(

Don't tell anyone but I love vandas almost as much as my paphs. There are getting to be more and more of them in my greenhouse. I love the bronze vandas and yours is no exception. When I first got into orchids many years ago I foolishly bought 2 flasks of vanda crosses. I did poorly with them but do have a few of them left. Now the next question is, Will I still be alive to see them bloom. As you know our plants grow slower both here in N.Y. and where you are from then sunny Fla. Sorry, if I'm rambling. Just love the flower of that one.
