This is the first time this plant has flowered in the fall, usually it flowers in the spring. Perhaps the repotting and dividing interrupted its usual routine. The flowers are quite chestnut colored this time, flowers in the spring are pink! Photo credit to my daughter Sara!

Thanks Dot. I struggle with this group of orchids. I tend to overwater them and they're magnets for spider mite in the winter. When I get a spike of flowers, i'm grateful!

That makes two of us. I'm learning to back off on the water. But I know what you mean about the spikes!
