In bloom this morning in a recently shaded greenhouse; one of our best breeders. Top flower not fully open. HNS = 8.5 cm PW= 2.6cm

Nice. What's the plan? Cross it with fox valley fireball?

I think breeding it with Phrag. besseae 'Carlisle' will be first, because I'd love to be able to offer seedlings with nice potential; then with Phrag. humboldtii to remake Phrag. Super Rubies and finally with Phrag. Mem. David Augustine (Fox Valley Fireball x kovachii). I'd like to register the cross and name it after my late friend David's daughter.

I've got a seed capsule coming along on my 'Carlisle' that was crossed with Jaljala's awsome Pink Panther that he posted awhile back. I'm hoping for offspring that look like Hanne Popow on steroides!
