It will be interesting how the plant will flower the next time.

All other seedlings have normal flowers.

Best greetings

Any idea if this is the result of a selfing of a specific plant, and that the distortion is a result of inbreeding?

Or can this problem be solved the next time it blooms?

Very interesting flower. It is ugly but still very interesting.
I dont think that it is peloric, because the petals are one-half dorsal not shaped like a pouch. But what looks most interesting to me ist that it has four petals.
It is improbable that it will bloom normally next time, because the flowers are genetically stunted because they are all more or less the same. So most likely this is a sign for a mutation that will occur whenever it blooms.
Sad thing, but in your friends greenhouse, it is still an eye catcher. I bet no one has ever seen a roth that was so spectacular!! ;)

It is interesting.

Are you sure, that no other species is involved, and
there was pollen by a fly ore something else who polinated too.
So maybe this seed had a different kind of pollinater

But I like it, this is something different and a great color
