From the headline I was expecting something with more color, but form and shine like this is certainly not a disappointment. The coloring is light, but crisp and clear, not muddy. Very nice.
Very pleasing proportions, balance and graduation of tone. I suspect that the soft colouring is more the result of the Maudiae parent than the fairrieanum.
I would be very happy with that!
Maudiae x fairrieanum would be Faire-Maud. I'm not sure it is clear we are looking at that cross. If it is Maudiae 'Red' - a cultivar, or Maudiae (red) - merely descriptive, then yes. If Maudiae red just indicates it is a red Maudiae-type it could be something else.
