Paphiopedilum fairrieanum semi-album

Hi all, been a little while since posting anything. All very slow in the greenhouse with a few plants in bud, however this Paph fairrieanum semi-album has brightened things up a little. Decided to bring it in for a portrait session yesterday, and thought I'd share the results. It's a slow grower, but I think the bloom has been well worth the wait. It's been open for 4 weeks now and the dorsal has got wider and flatter over that time. Paul

No matter it's a lovely flower .... but I too think pale or light would describe this colouration way better than semialbum.

Yes, not semialbum as that would require albinistic sepals and petals (with colored lip or staminode).

It is a beautiful pastel type form.
