Pair of philippinenses. I particularly like the compact size of the plants. While the petals are not as long as I was hoping for, the regular form is about 13-14 inches leafspan. The album is only about 8 or 9 inches total leafspan.

The normal one is very colorful! I also have one of this compact albas. Seems to be wrong size for a Philli in person. 😅

Thanks! It’s nice that the Alba form is small. There’s a phil var compactum aureoviride that’s been reported - I wonder if this could be in the background for what we have.

That’s good to know. What I noticed from the article by Olaf Gruss is a photo of a philippinense compactumwith a reddish lip. I didn’t appreciate there was such a variant of philippinense.
