Max variabilis

This Maxillaria is from the highlands of Central America. The flower is a little over 1/2" in height. As the name suggests the color is variable in this species. I have a few different color form in my collection.

That's really red. Mine is very yellow -- it's been blooming continually for several months. Flowers are very small.

Mine is also yellow

And its growing well - flowers now and then. I grow it cold.

I'll add mine to the mix. Purchased this past Spring, it's been in continuous bloom. Much smaller plant, though, and it looks like mine doesn't open up as wide as yours and Ron's.
