(philippinense X sanderianum)

I was watering today and see the newest leaf is noticeably wider (2 inches). Compare to the older leaf which measures 1 inch. This plant was added to my collection November 2014. I am pleased with the growth from 1 inch, 1.5 inch to 2 inches. I'm curiously if the width of new leaf will continue to improve.

This plant added about 4 leaves under my care (or lack of). I would have used clear pot so I can see how the roots are doing. Potting mix is orchidata. I probably would add more moss to it if I'm to repot it. Cant wait to flower one of these next Spring.

this one is already starting to bud--you can see the trunk is elongating. nice growing!

Thank you Justin. I thought it would start to bud when a new growth starts ? Maybe there is always exception. Something to look forward to.

if one can extrapolate my observations on the growth of Phalaenopsis leaves to Paphiopedilum when the quantities of light increase the leaves are shorter and broader. So maybe previously it was cultivated in low light.
