Paphiopedilum Shireen (glaucophyllum x philippinense)

I bought this plant on the main market in Funchal, Madeira two years ago.
It´s grows very well and this year I can show you the flower (last year I broke the spike ).

I hope this is really a P. Shireen, perhaps someone can confirm?

I agree, especially with the plant size.... Shireen seems to be the largest of the (cochlo x phili) hybrids...

very nice. I've always loved the pink pouch on these. Grew one for 15 years, finally blomed it. Pouch was brown. I threw it out.

nice one. looks like what it is supposed to be. you just took me waaay back. i was in funchal for a while like 12 years ago at least. madeira is awesome.
