Congrats and good luck! It looks to be a bit tender given the size and the color of the leaves. Or maybe the lighting giving the wrong impression.
Is this species harder to keep going than anitum?

It is yellower than I would like, but for $50 I rolled the dice. If nothing else I got some pollen to work with.

Peak blooming season has passed but I'm still getting flowers here and there.

Another stonei:

Sunlight Rothschild:

Xanthophyllum:

Lastly a disappointing Wƶssner Black Wings. It had potential with four flowers on a first bloom and a nicely marked dorsal sepal, but as it opened the petals started to roll and then the dorsal reflexed. Another cull for the cull throne.

"No biggie, Just casually blooming stoneis over here..."

Are they really that difficult? One of the judges at Asheville commented that the one I had on display there was only the second he had seen in his life. The first was mine in our show last year lol

Besides you have like 40 flowers on 'Mont Milais' right now, that's way cooler šŸ˜‚

Ha yes I am not complaining :)

I have only bloomed 2 stonei in my life, and those were the only 2 I have ever seen in person (including 15-20 years of OS meetings/shows).

Luckily one of those I selfed and have seedlings...

I am actually anticipating a couple from a Taiwanese flask to bloom this summer...16 years from flask.
