Fanaticum is open and by far the best I've ever bloomed or seen in person. It has some defects from damage to the bud early in its growth but if I can keep it alive to flower again I think it has potential.

Next roths on deck is 'Giant Wings Jr.' × 'X-Hot' showing some great color as it opens.

I love the color and general form of this roths with one major exception, that funky dip in the petals. It looks like it is continuing in the second flower. @Justin and other roths folks is this likely to be a genetic flaw that continues in the future or is it worth reblooming?

Congratulations Tony, for your FCC (Gold medal)!!! Excellent job. Nice, that someone succeeds. It`s often the proffs, that collect the prices. All the other plants look good too. 😍

The petals have freed themselves and they're looking to have the same dip in them. It will be a bummer if that is a persistent trait because it's a nice flower otherwise.
Yeah, kinda looks like it's going to be part of its permanent repertoire, but you never know.

If that roth has any size to it, then, I'd bloom it again to see if the petals would look any better. You just never know.
I am not one of those who say first bloom is not the best and will only improve, but I have seen a crumbly mauidae hybrid that bloomed much better on its second bloom and from the third bloom on, it was nearly perfect.
Then, again, most of the uglies are always uglies with minor variations. lol
And I have on hangianum hybrid that bloomed almost perfect on its very first go, and never bloomed the same ever again. It has bloomed a few times now. very close to saying goodbye to that one.

It has a lot of good qualities with the broad dorsal and petals and great color but the kink in the petals really just ruins the presentation. I'll probably bloom it again to see if it straightens out but the second flower having the same trait makes me think it will persist.

I'd definitely bloom it again. It is symmetrical if anyhting lol
Seriously, it has good potential. On its next bloom, if there's any changes for the better on those petals, then, you want to bloom it for the third time. You just never know and as you say, great looking flowers minus the issues on the petals at this first blooming.
What's the dorsal width? I like the color, too.
