This was a speculative acquisition a few years back. Slow growing and weak, it has finally bloomed with two somewhat deformed fowers, which may or may not be due to my neglect of the orchids this summer. I like the color and hope they resolve their shape issues on future bloomings. A third bud blasted.

It definitely is a start! I also like the color, so if the form improves, it could be a great bloom.

I was expecting a mess when I read what the cross was,but I kind of like that.

That's what I would think too, it's better than I expected.
Put your hybridizer hats on - If we were to approach this as a stepping stone .... to where? What would your guesses be?
