Paph. kolopakingii var. topperi (13/4/2016 updated)

This one is about to bloom, will post all updates about this clone in this separate thread. Unlike a traditional kolopakingii, topperi has a green spike with dark green stripped flower sheath. The flower will be on greenish side instead of containing strong yellow pigment. Until now, there are 6 buds on the single spike, maximum 1 more might be coming.

The plant itself is here, a huge guy with leaf span over one meter.

The final count of bud number reveals. There are 7 buds on this single spike. The number count is quite impressive for an artificially cultivated kolopakingii in my opinion.

Kolopakingii is stinky? didn't know that.

Hopefully my hybrid with it won't be stinky when it ever blooms in the future. lol
