Paph. (Fumimasa Sugiyama x rotschildianum)

Two new Paph. multifloral Hybrids opened for us. The first is Paph. (Fumimasa Sugiyama x rotschildianum). It is 50% roth, 25% sanderianum and 25% platyphyllum. The flower is 27 cm across.

This is the first seedling to bloom out of the cross. I made the cross in March of 2001. The first seedlings got planted in the greenhouse in April 2003, so they have been in the greenhouse for 6 years.

wow, 6 years. One thing I have to learn with this hobby is More patience I guess!!!! Very worth it though.
