Paph fowliei var. album questions

My fowliei has blasted two spikes. They were growing well and then the bud turned brown and that was it
The plant looks good so what do I need to do to keep that from happening again? I grow in a south facing window with grow lights.

Used to happen to mine. I found that they need more hydration in bud stage. So water more but watch roots don’t drown.

Have you had apples or any other ethylen emitting fruits in its close vicinity (styrofoam can also play that trick!)?
