My lowii cross

Another first flowering. This is lowii x primulinum var purp. I was in two minds when I saw this seedling for sale, I adore lowii but dislike the petals on cochlopetalums and their hybrids. I'm really pleased with this, it has all the best traits. The inflorescence is tall and straight so the presentation is lovely.

I'm very tempted to cross this with a Julius that is just opening.

I got it from Ivan a couple of years ago. I have an weakness for anything with lowii in it. I have wanted Julius for years and years, I finally saw a division at the Vic Int Orchid Fair a few months ago and got it. It promptly threw up a new spike.
