Jungle collected plants

Just purchased three jungles collected paphs from an estate sale:



spicerianum 'st albans', insigne sanderae 'halls classic' and insigne 'harefield hall'

Cool. I've never really liked the "Improved" forms of species. Partly because for me, orchids are a part of nature I get to enjoy in my home.

Me too!!! Can't wait for the insignes to bloom. I also prefer the flowers as mother nature intended. Just hope I can keep them alive.

So you prefer species then, many people do.
Not necessarily "jungle collected really", just natural species.
I find that perhaps Mother Nature knew what she was doing all along. But honestly, I feel that a nice blend of species and primary hybrids suits my fancy. Some of these complex Paphiopedilum hybrids or compact and colorful Cattleya hybrids all start to blend together sometimes. Of course they are attractive to some degree, and more so for some people, but I find my eyes 'glazing over' sometimes.
