I am just sick over my lowii

My lowii had 2 stems with 2 buds on each. While watering, I broke off one of the stems. So clumsey of me. I am just sick to have lost 2 buds. Should I cut the broken stem off or leave it til it dries out?

Aww... that's really sad! When I cut inflorescences after the flower fades, I cut it with a sterile razor blade and then dab cinnamon on it.

Yeah cut it so it does not becomea disease vector. Also watch out because pests like to go to a weakend place where easy access is.
