A diferent orchid from our coastal region here in Brasil. This is a last year flowering, but it will flower at Spring here.

A white sobralia , Sobralia macrophylla, flower last only one day open, very dificult to photograph! Last year flowering too.

Very nice Sobralia...!!

About the other one, I guess the flowers are still not open and those white ones are buds?? Very interesting!

Found in the Mantiqueira Rain Forest Mountains of Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo State Brazil as well as Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Peru in seasonally dry cloud forests at elevations of 500 to 3150 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with a basal rosette of elliptic, acute leaves that are conduplicate below into a distinct petiole that blooms in the summer on a short to 1" [2.5 cm], pendant inflorescence with a head-like cluster of several [6 to 8] flowers with inflated, pilose floral bracts.
