I've had this plant for 3 years. This is the first time it has flowered. The flowers are lighter than others I've seen, but very delicate and difficult to photograph well. I haven't accomplished that yet.

I've only seem these mounted. These grow tall and gangly -- it will be interesting to see how yours does potted.

the problem was the root growing in the middle of the tall, gangly, plant.

Do you have gokusingii as well? It is very similar but seems to bloom a bit easier.

I killed my first merrillianum, but think I have it figured out now. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Congratulations on a very nice photo of such a small flower. I love the
lavender tones in the blooms. It looks like a lovely nosegay.
