Not the greatest form for a line bred rubra clone but it has an erect dorsal and good colour.
This year there are three flowers, about as good as it gets for this form of the species.
Its also a good grower and has a terrific scent so for the time being, it’s staying.

David, maybe your expectations are higher than mine, maybe the petals could be wider, but altogether these are lovely flowers ..... at least in my eyes.
The petals seem to stay slightly crumpled for their lifetime. They don’t fully stretch out. It’s something that has happened every year it’s bloomed. It’s pretty much the only flaw. It was bought as a seedling, not a division so I couldnt expect much better.
