    Hi there,

I know you all don't actually know me on here, so I hope what you see here gives you an idea about me :)[IMG]

I have been an avid grower of plants for over 40 years, and am selling an installation that includes orchids (although not slipper orchids on this one, but I will list another setup which includes Paphiopedilum hybrids)

This is a major installation that I have been creating since summer 2016. The cork oak log itself cost £100 and was imported from Portugal, they are not available here in the UK the last time I checked. It is mounted on a concrete and painted steel parasol stand, all stood in a large paella pan. The inside of the log was hollow, and I filled it up with coir compost. Cork bark is extremely resistant to rot by the way. I’ve had some outdoors for 35 years and it is virtually unchanged to this day!

It has planted in the top Ficus benjamina ‘Reginald’ (green and gold) - a very rare cultivar.
It has a ring of 4 Platycerium bifurcatums around the top (plastic pot to be removed once the shield fronds have completely enclosed the top.)
The length of the log is planted with orchids and Tillandsias and a Lycopodium, and there are a few plants growing in the compost at the bottom. This installation is not perfect yet, it is still a work in progress. If it was it would probably be worth in the region of £500. As it is, I am asking £300 for it. I believe that really is a bargain, when you take into account the costs of the materials, and the plants, and the time and effort that has gone into creating and maintaining it.

This is only for sale until 4th April 2019

Here is a link to a video perhaps giving you a better conception of it (~8 -
