Guaranthe (syn. Cattleya) skinneri fm semialba ‘Judy Bach’ AM/AOS

This is a division from a rare plant that is supposedly semialba. But as it’s blooming first time for me, I noticed that it is more albescent pink whereas the petals/sepals were supposed to be (in theory) white. I then reread the award and then realized it was light blushed pink (not...

Cattleya jenmanii ‘Mem. Dan Brandt’ AM/AOS

Though smaller than my ‘Splendiferous’ cultivar, it has good form (erect dorsal and upturned petals) and crisp color. Awarded almost 10 years ago, it came from the same line as my jenmanii semialba ‘April Fools’ HCC/AOS. NS 13 cm. Flowering beautifully at DavidB. I will be pollinated this...

    Cattleya jenmanii semialba pincelada ‘Splendiferous’

Very fragrant. Grows intermediate to warm in bright light in my lower shelf. NS 16 cm.

    Cattleya warscewiczii semialba ‘Everest’

This is probably my all-time favorite warscewiczii of all time. The stunning white lip pattern has a red central waterfall, flanked by yellow eyes, and a cotton pink picotee around the margin. Due to the hot summer temperatures and intense light in GH, one of the leaves has sunburnt markings...

Cattleya walkeriana fm. semialba hv. perola (fm. flamea?) ‘Cherry Lips’

This is likely my most beautiful walkeriana color form. The variety is confusing as it has a white base and red lip (semialba) but has a blush pink (perola or pearl tint) that looks like a flamea. Depending on which expert or region in Brazil, they will call it a different color variety...

    Cattleya warscewiczii semialba ‘Pink Trumpette’

This multigrowth plant seems always to bloom at every new lead (blooms during spring as each new lead matures). NS 15 cm.

    Cattleya lueddemanniana semialba ‘Moon Fall’

First bloom division from Orquidário America since arrival 1.5 years ago… simply gorgeous round full shape NS 14.5 cm. Showing pics of the wings or horns on sides of column.

    Cattleya jenmanii semialba pincelada ‘Splendiferous’

I have dreamt about owning a jenmanii with this lip pattern like jenmanii s/a ‘Canaima Lipstick’ (remember our discussion in other threads?). I finally was able to get one! Triple yayyyy 🥳. Here it is in all its splendour! NS 14.5 cm

    Cattleya labiata semialba ‘Broken Heart’

I named it because the white eyes broke the solid red lip. And also to all who’s had their hearts broken sometime in their lives. My plant blooming it’s heart out in Brazil. NS 13.5 cm. Also known as the var cooksonii.

Cattleya violacea semialba flamea ‘Stars and Stripes’

Love the color combo of this so I named it such. Good flat shape in sepals and petals but that curled lip is disturbing to me lolzzz. Blooming in Brazil at my buddy’s backyard.

Cattleya labiata semialba pentapincelada ‘Solar Flare’ AM/AOS

Awarded today at the Windsor Orchid Society AOS Outreach Program with an 80 point AM. What a nice surprise. Had one flower bruised from travelling but didn’t detract from its beauty.

Cattleya labiata semialba pincelada (Cooksoniae type) ‘Solar Flare’

Blooming with approximately 7 flowers on 3 leads, this 14 cm flower has light magenta brush strokes on all sepals and petals. Thus the name I gave it lol. My plant grown beautifully in GH by DBryan (in pic).

    Cattleya dormaniana semialba ‘Pink Eye’

One of my plants in Brazil flowered. A rare color form of the species.

    Cattleya labiata semialba ‘Coral Falls’

The flowers snuck up on me. The plant arrived in November and still in Brazil time. Flowers are small as plant is still establishing. Will cut off this weekend to let plant grow. But look at the solid lip, called atropurpurea (color to edge).

    Cattleya warscewiczii semialba ‘Pink Trumpette’

One of my favourite semialbas … huge flowers on a compact plant. From the Christofferson Collection seed cross (Marjorie x Augusta Victoria). NS 17 cm. What is lovely about this one is that the side lobes is completely pink, forming a solid trumpette 🥰.

    Cattleya violacea semialba flamea ‘OmG’

OmG this one just opened after struggling for 3 years! It was repotted to semi water culture last year and it survived to bloom! It stunned me at the beauty of the flower!

    Cattleya mossiae semialba flamea ‘SUPERNOVA’

One of my best flameas in my collection with 4 flowers and 4 buds… I named her SUPERNOVA because it looks like an explosion… huge at 7 inches!

Cattleya mossiae semialba pincelada ‘La Paz’

A division that I got from Gerardo’s collection in Venezuela couple years ago. First blooming after the shock of travel, so flowers are not at its best. Maybe in a couple more years it will show full potential. Has very nice deep magenta colored lip and mini flares on all segments, among the...

    Cattleya jenmanii semialba’TuLip’

Part of my cattleya species collection. This jenmanii semialba has a sweet fragrance. I call her ‘TuLip’ because of a friend’s nickname! Flowers last over 3 weeks. Semialbas are probably one of my favourite colour forms in the Cattleya alliance after the flameas.
