This is likely my most beautiful walkeriana color form. The variety is confusing as it has a white base and red lip (semialba) but has a blush pink (perola or pearl tint) that looks like a flamea. Depending on which expert or region in Brazil, they will call it a different color variety...

Awarded today at the Windsor Orchid Society AOS Outreach Program with an 80 point AM. What a nice surprise. Had one flower bruised from travelling but didn’t detract from its beauty.

Blooming with approximately 7 flowers on 3 leads, this 14 cm flower has light magenta brush strokes on all sepals and petals. Thus the name I gave it lol. My plant grown beautifully in GH by DBryan (in pic).

The flowers snuck up on me. The plant arrived in November and still in Brazil time. Flowers are small as plant is still establishing. Will cut off this weekend to let plant grow. But look at the solid lip, called atropurpurea (color to edge).

Part of my cattleya species collection. This jenmanii semialba has a sweet fragrance. I call her ‘TuLip’ because of a friend’s nickname! Flowers last over 3 weeks. Semialbas are probably one of my favourite colour forms in the Cattleya alliance after the flameas.
