I bought a Lebaudyanum (haynaldianum x philippinense) starting to bloom among its leaves. I guess it'll take about three months to enjoy its flowers. This primary hybrid was registered by Lebaudy in 1895. I wish to know who Lebaudy was. I found only about a certain Jacques Lebaudy who was a Frenchman from an extremely wealthy family of sugar refiners. Any interesting stories about this hybrid?
