Warm Weather Brings Everything Out!!!

I was out mowing today and saw this on a tree stump in the yard!!
It is a Black Snake about 4-5ft long!!

A nice looking well fed black rat snake. Good to see. They help keep the little varmints.

I don't mind them!1 They help keep the rodent poputation down.. It looks like he just ate within the last few days..

yes it is a good specimen!! I have seen them around here in upwards of 8-10ft. I have seen them stretched across the road...

I can't stand ever the smallest spider, but snakes are too cool! Weird, but I like them. He's a beaut!

He's getting ready to shed too! Looks like the one I found at my wife's cousin's place in Saugerties....it was at least 6' long...and also ready to shed.

Nice! I love snakes in general, but living in Florida I was pretty wary of them too, especially pygmy rattlers - temperamental little buggers!
