THe one on the left is from portilla - the one on the right was originally a division from the municipal greenhouse in Paris - I've been growing it for more than ten years now - its more than a reluctant flower. It looks pretty much as the hartwegii variety -- any clues anybody -- Olaf ?
The flower on the left has a more red hue whereas as the other is green

Your assessment sounds good to me. As I look at them together the one on the right has less green in it's background, hartwegii right? The left one looks like mine, longi var. longi. Nicely pointed out is the lack of hairs on the upper ridge of the stami on the hartwegii variety
