I found this article to be very interesting and educational as well. I liked the explanation of orchid mycorrhiza. I also noticed that the cost of living is lower in Chiang Mai, Thailand than it is here in USA. 48.3 baht translates to $1.61 usd. All things being relative, however, I can't comment on what 48.3 baht represents to the everyday working man and woman in Thailand. Using the recipe and calculations as shown in the article, I calculated my cost for the growing medium would be $2.03 usd.

Very interesting... Pink agar media is a first! What genera have you had success with using this method? Any modification for paphiopedilum?
