It looks like the Orchid Gods have not blessed me with fantastic timing. The second spike will be gone and the remaining five will not be close in time for Tuesdays judging in San Francisco. Oh well. If the size sticks for the rest of the spikes I just migh be able to get it in.

It can also possibly be a tigrina var. nigroviolacea... Larger blooms than a tigrina.

Appreciate to know the difference between tigrina and var. nigroviolacea. Thanks.
