Relative size

I finally bloomed my first kovachii hybrid and was amazed at the huge increase in flower size from what I have been used to seeing

The larger flower is Phrag dalessandroi x kovachii The Phrag besseae is a plant acquired from Ecuagenera. The pic was taken with both flowers exactly the same distance from the lens. The hybrid has been open 2 weeks and the species for one week

Really cool, huh? I should have taken similar comparison photos of schlimii and Eumelia Arias. Well, maybe next year.

Do you know the name of that beautiful parvi hybrid in the background?

I guess you really didn't understand how significant a parent kovachii could be.

On the left side background is a hint of my Paph leucochilum and on the right was Paph malipoense x S. Gratrix.

The latter one actually has been open since mid March and is ready to drop
