Looks like a good flowering season this year for my fuukiran collection. Here is a 'shutennou' that Jason Fischer gifted to me on his recent visit:

The plant has at least 3 flower stalks coming and no less than 15 new roots - a sure sign it is happy. June is the monsoon season in southern Japan and also the time when neos are going crazy throwing new roots and flower stalks. Flowering season is just a month away!

Ah yes, the roots.... The roots are actually considered as a key feature in Neo selection. The most desirable being the ruby red root tips.
