I have noted for some time a reluctance to admit that many orchids ar found in Panama. Here are a few in situ. The Elleanthus is dussii, so far as I can tell

I love all 3 species. Beautiful. The sobralia chrysostoma is OUTSTANDING. Sadly, not seen much in the USA. I have a Sobralia powellii (or at least it is one of the related species with white flowers) but it is no where near as full a flower.

The other problem is most white flowered Sobralia in the USA are not correctly identified. Sadly Eric Christiansen is no longer with us.
 
Why would there be a reluctance to admit that orchids grow in Panama? I'm glad to know such beauties are there, also!
