When I attended Redland International Orchid Festival in 2016, I picked up a flask of this species from Peruflora. They were in a decent shape, but I didn't do too well, and somehow only 1 survivor. But this survivor is a good grower, and it flowered 2.5 years after deflasking (the photos were from Nov 12, 2018). It's a cute species. I'm growing it on a shallow tray of water at intermediate temp (about 86/65F).

I tried to use Google Photos for sharing, but they aren't too friendly with embedding in forums, so the photos might disappear in the future. I'll stop using Google Photos until they make it better, but the photos of this thread can be found in my Shared album of Orchids from Google Photos.

Congrats on that. I'd name the clone "Highlander" since there can be only 1 (from the flask). LOL

Very pretty flower and very impressive job getting it to bloom so quickly.

I think if you supplied bottom heat and some extra light (daylength) they would do better. When it is cold outside and my radiator is cranking I see mine is growing more. And it is where I often turn on a spotlight in the kitchen where it never gets turned off
Mine is on two pieces of styrofoam on radiator but I know it is warmer there anyway

Excellent flower. This is the typical form of PA with the petals little twisted. The pouch needs to "inflate" by the side. Not easy to grow, warm instead of cool.
