Me too, it would be super fun to breed with if that third petal was more dominant.

Do you know if any one has tried to breed a lindenii hybrid back to lindenii? So you have a double shot of 'no pouch'? Could work...

I am not sure if a lindenii hybrid has been crosses back to lindenii. I have given thiught to it and plan on asking Glen when he gets back into town.

The unmodified pouch/petal is a weird concept. I like this plant.

Brian, at least 5 of my 6 flowers self-pollinated. None of the flowers lasted more than a couple weeks, as opposed to several months for my other long-petaled species.

As far as I know, that's correct.

lindenii likely lost its pouch after it evolved a third anther that comes into direct contact with the stigma.

As for exstaminodium, I've read that the pollinia are in contact with the sides of the stigma.
