One of the long petaled species. This one has the third petal and no pouch. I wish this pouchlessness would pass onto it's progeny

Do you know if any one has tried to breed a lindenii hybrid back to lindenii? So you have a double shot of 'no pouch'? Could work...

I am not sure if a lindenii hybrid has been crosses back to lindenii. I have given thiught to it and plan on asking Glen when he gets back into town.

i've heard that this and exstaminode often self pollinate. do you know if this is true?
As far as I know, that's correct.

lindenii likely lost its pouch after it evolved a third anther that comes into direct contact with the stigma.

As for exstaminodium, I've read that the pollinia are in contact with the sides of the stigma.
