Phrag Les Dirouilles 4N 'Queen of Peace'

Currently in bloom. The flower is 10.5 inches vertical. The spike is almost 3 feet tall!

Thats a flowering to be proud of Peter. The spike reminds me of my Praying Mantis, I woundered if the roof was high enough as it grew.

Wow! Tall spike. Reminds me of the Bouley Bay i saw at Mike Tibbs' Exotic Plant Company. The spike must have been about 2 tall. The plant stood on a bench about 1m off the ground and reached the ceiling which was about 2 m above the bench.

Lovely colour on this way. The bright deep crimson border to the petals coupled with the lovely white outline to the sepals make for striking contrast.

A spectacular (well grown) plant.

Jean, there are at least 2 more buds on this huge spike!
