(caudatum v Sanderae x Mem. Dick Clements) - Just opening, so still not full size (17 cm HNS today). We are hoping it makes it to the MOS Palm Sunday show next weekend. Originally purchased from Paul Phillips, who told us it was EYOF breeding and made with two 4N parents. Darker than most we've seen and probably a result of greenhouse temps between 64F and 75F. we put one of the pollen packets onto a nice besseae ('Red Giant') but not sure if it'll be successful, since no hybrids have ever been registered with Beaumont as a parent according to the latest OrchidWiz.

I'm going to refrigerate the second pollen packet and wait for our Phrag. caudatum 'Fox Valley' AM/AOS to open. I think a back-cross to the long petalled species would be stunning.....or use it on a humboldtii - or whatever it's called nowadays:evil:).......
