Acquired this as a seedling from Paul Phillips when Radcliffe Orchids attended one of the Eastern Orchid Conference shows. April, 1999 is the earliest repotting date I can read on the tag, so the date of acquisition was probably a year earlier. The tag reads: Phrag. (Mem. Dick Clements 'Jersey' 4N x caudatum 4N). The horizontal natural spread is 17.8 cm and the petal width at it's widest point is 2.0 cm. Thinking of breeding this one back to caudatum ' Fox Valley' AM/AOS and/or a good popowii.

I don't care much for long-petalled bessae-hybrids, but this one is an exception. Not bad at all.
