As yet un-named cross. The colour is very interesting through the indigo influence. A greyish brown-lavender with a bright indigo blue lip. The colour made me buy it last year.
Almost 65% violacea and equal parts of amboinensis, lueddemaniana and venosa.
This one is getting towards a nice coca cola colour too.
The shapes and bumps on the lip is starting to get into aquatic hardware or even formula 1 car racing or independence day spacecraft or stealth bomber territory. Very nice and interesting.
I think he spilled half the beans ...... in the last pic .... left-hand-lower side of the pic. Joseph Wu Orchids or something. Unless he put that there as a decoy hahaha.
Under cooler night temperatures, a subsequent flower show darker coloration, a characteristic of indigos (sequesters more colouring flavonoids during slower development). Very interesting grape colour in tepals. The lip retained the dark indigo violet.
