    Phalaenopsis violacea Indigo

A blue from the Norton line. Very fragrant. NS 4.2 cm I have a compot of these types from Ken Avant that are almost blooming size. Can’t wait as the parents were exceptional shapes.

    Cattleya violacea semialba flamea ‘Serendipity’

This is one of my seedlings from Bela Vista’s breeding that bloomed at Orquidário Americana nursery in Brazil. The flamea coloration only on the petals make the contrast very striking. The shape is also very good with a flat lip that doesn’t curl much with age. Likely in a few years, the...

Cattleya violacea semialba flamea ‘Stars and Stripes’

Love the color combo of this so I named it such. Good flat shape in sepals and petals but that curled lip is disturbing to me lolzzz. Blooming in Brazil at my buddy’s backyard.

OmG this one just opened after struggling for 3 years! It was repotted to semi water culture last year and it survived to bloom! It stunned me at the beauty of the flower!

    Indigos R’ Comin’

My first indigo violacea to bloom in the hot (+32C) top shelf …. Few more in spikes … color is like blue African violets. Fragrant is like a strong sweet and spicy cinnamon sugar. It’s sequential so more buds over next month or two.

Phalaenopsis violacea coerulea and indigo (?)

My ‘violaceas’ are in bloom, flourishing in semi-hydro (in constant water) in the hottest part of my growing area. Coerulea forma: I suspect this one above might be a Samera coerulea (violacea x bellina) due to the dark inner part of lower sepals, although I have seen color patterns like...

Phalaenopsis (Kung’s Red Cherry x violacea indigo)

As yet un-named cross. The colour is very interesting through the indigo influence. A greyish brown-lavender with a bright indigo blue lip. The colour made me buy it last year. Almost 65% violacea and equal parts of amboinensis, lueddemaniana and venosa.
