If you look at the history of primary crosses, this is to be expected. The next step is to back cross onto the superior parent likely leucochilum , to fix the form problems and hopefully come up with a good result. Perhaps flatter petals and a wider dorsal.

Sometimes it takes a stronger plant in a second blooming to improve itself.

leucochilum long flower's life (months) may extent the short life of vietnamense's flower
